Overfill Prevention System

There are many products available to assist in preventing fuel spills. While they differ in design they all have one thing in common: They try to contain the fuel once the tank is overfilled. While examining the problem it became quite clear that if you didn’t overfill the tank all the problems associated with refueling disappeared.

Enviro-Fill's founder once observed a method implemented by a USCG patrol boat to prevent overfilling the tank. Three people refueled the boat: one to operate the nozzle, one to read off the gallons from the pump, and a third to call out the fuel gauge reading from the helm. That’s hard to do when you’re by yourself!!!

Enviro-Fill’s O.P.S. is the only system to address the problem using technology to automatically shut off the refueling nozzle when the fuel in the tank reaches 95% full. The system was designed with simplicity, reliability, and ease of installation in mind. These were achieved by using Pressure Transfer Technology (patent pending) which uses no moving parts and requires no new access panels or alterations to the boat. Extensive testing has shown the system to be reliable and effective at eliminating refueling spills.
