About Enviro-Fill

In May 2005, BoatUS magazine wrote an article on fuel spills and the lack of a solution. As a result of reading that article Enviro-Fill’s founder developed a simple universal system that uses pressure transfer technology to automatically shut off the nozzle when the fuel in the tank reaches a predetermined level. This technology allows us to fill any size tank and shut off the nozzle automatically every time when the tank is 95 percent full with no spilling! The fill rate and length of fill and vent hoses have no effect on our system’s capability to reliably shut off the nozzle at the predetermined fuel level in the tank. Enviro-Fill was established in October 2005 to make that technology available to boat builders.

Enviro-Fill has maintained a presence throughout the EPA rule-making process, and our technology is described in the preamble to the rule as one method of meeting the refueling requirement.

Recent ABYC-sponsored independent testing of our system showed that it worked perfectly at all the proposed fill rates and heel angles. The system was installed on an ABYC boat for the testing. The universal adaptability of our system is demonstrated in this application where the boat without our system demonstrated severe fill problems. The technology has been proven to get the job done and to ensure it works every time, our products are of the highest quality materials and craftsmanship.

Machining, inspection, assembly and finished product testing is done in-house at Ephrata Precision Parts, Inc. (http://www.ephrataprecision.com/ ). This 51,000-sq.-ft., state of the art, CNC machining/tool and die facility enables us to supply quality precision parts in quantities to meet the needs of production boat builders.
